Resumen del proyecto

Este proyecto: “La Ciencia y la Sostenibilidad como motores de interculturalidad e inclusión” surge de un consorcio entre tres centros de educación secundaria: IES La Gándara (Toreno), IES Bergidum Flavium (Cacabelos) e IES Fuentesnuevas, coordinados por el Centro de Formación e Innovación Educativa (CFIE) de Ponferrada, todos ellos ubicados en la Comarca de El Bierzo, zona con tradición agrícola y desarrollada durante el siglo XX entorno a la minería del carbón, que en la actualidad está sufriendo un proceso de desmantelamiento y se enfrenta al desafío de una transición económica y energética. Los docentes de ciencias de estos tres centros colaboran estableciendo una fuerte relación con la finalidad de crear sinergias que garanticen el éxito académico y la vocación científica en la región. Esta relación simbionte se ha materializado en una Asociación de Enseñantes de Ciencias del Bierzo (ENCIBI) en la que participan activamente todos los miembros de este consorcio.

Los objetivos planteados en este proyecto son los siguientes:

Crear conciencia ambiental, conocimiento y reconocimiento del patrimonio ecológico, actitudes y valores hacia el medio ambiente para tomar un compromiso de acciones y responsabilidades que tengan como fin el uso racional de los recursos y poder lograr así un desarrollo adecuado y sostenible.

Establecer criterios y actuaciones para trabajar en torno a una transición energética y económica de la región.

Impulsando las energías verdes, limpias, renovables que garanticen el desarrollo de las generaciones futuras.

Promover una formación constante del profesorado para mejorar nuestra calidad educativa y, con ello, la realidad social.

Conocer nuevas metodologías educativas porque la educación, la formación y el aprendizaje permanente son imprescindibles para crear una cultura de sostenibilidad y para promover la vocación científica entre el alumnado.

Mejorar la calidad de los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje fomentando, a través de la globalización de las ciencias, el trabajo en grupo y la cooperación con el objetivo de conseguir una educación inclusiva y formadora frente al reto de la sostenibilidad de nuestra civilización.

Sensibilizar a nuestro alumnado respecto a la pluriculturalidad y el plurilingüismo, entendiendo que ambos ofrecen formas alternativas de organizar el pensamiento.

Crear una red de actuación con más centros europeos a través de la realización de proyectos que nos permitan innovar e implementar nuevos métodos de enseñanza.

Hacer extensivos los logros alcanzados con esta experiencia formativa al resto del profesorado de los centros del consorcio y a otros centros de la zona a través de cursos y grupos de trabajo que potencien la internacionalización.

Expandir la colaboración con las instituciones y comunidad educativa que rodean la vida del consorcio.

El consorcio incluye un total de 11 participantes, todos ellos de perfil científico, miembros de la asociación de Enseñantes de Ciencias de El Bierzo (ENCIBI), comprometidos con la divulgación de las ciencias en la comarca.

Se prevé que el impacto derivado de esta actividad sea amplio y con efecto transversal ya que al tratarse de un consorcio la difusión será inmediata y el radio de acción muy amplio.

A nivel local, el impacto supondrá una mejora de las Programaciones de Aula de los centros educativos participantes.

Así mismo, se conseguirá una mayor participación en programas europeos e internacionalización de los centros fomentando la creación de sus propios Planes de Internacionalización. El CFIE de Ponferrada da respuesta a 80 centros de dos comarcas (Laciana y El Bierzo), facilitando la difusión de las actividades entre todos esos centros.

A nivel regional, el impacto va unido a la difusión de las actividades y de sus resultados, a medida que se vayan realizando. La difusión a través de las redes sociales y la publicación de materiales a través de la plataforma CROL (Centro de Recursos Online de la Junta de Castilla y León) serán las vías para que el impacto alcance el nivel regional.

Se debe resaltar la especial difusión e impacto que supondrá que estas actividades sean difundidas a través de la asociación ENCIBI y de su web. También se realizará una cooperación con otros CFIE de Castilla y León compartiendo los planteamientos del Consorcio desarrollado y sus resultados. La garantía del cumplimiento de estos objetivos se ve avalada por la gran actividad profesional que antecede a todos los miembros del consorcio (coordinadores de bilingüismo, premio Nacional de Educación 2016, premio Acción Magistral 2018, formadores de formadores, cargos directivos...)

La difusión de las actividades y sus resultados alcanzará también el ámbito nacional ya que la utilización de las redes sociales y el empleo de la plataforma CROL (Centro de Recursos Online de la Junta de Castilla y León) garantizan dicho impacto. A su vez, la web de ENCIBI servirá para difundir todas las iniciativas y actuaciones que se desarrollen.

 Project summary

This project: "Science and Sustainability as guides to interculturality and inclusion" arises from a collaboration between three secondary schools: IES La Gándara (Toreno), IES Bergidum Flavium (Cacabelos) and IES Fuentesnuevas, coordinated by the In-service Teacher Training Centre (CFIE) of Ponferrada, all of them located in the region of El Bierzo, an area with an agricultural tradition and developed during the 20th century around coal mining, which is currently undergoing a process of dismantling and facing the challenge of an economic and energy transition. The science teachers of these three centres collaborate by establishing a strong relationship in order to create synergies that guarantee academic success and scientific vocation in the region. This symbiotic relationship has materialized in an Association of Science Teachers of El Bierzo (ENCIBI) in which all the members of this Consortium actively participate.

The objectives set out in this project are the following:

To create environmental awareness, knowledge and recognition of the ecological heritage, attitudes and values towards the environment in order to make a commitment to actions and responsibilities aimed at the rational use of resources and thus achieve adequate and sustainable development.

To establish criteria and actions to work towards an energy and economic transition of the region, promoting green, clean and renewable energies that guarantee the development of future generations.

To promote constant training of teachers to improve our educational quality and, with it, social reality. To Know new educational methodologies because education, training and lifelong learning are essential to create a culture of sustainability and to promote scientific vocation among students.

To improve the quality of the teaching-learning processes by promoting, through the globalization of sciences, group work and cooperation with the aim of achieving an inclusive and formative education facing the challenge of sustainability in our civilization.

To make our students aware of multiculturalism and multilingualism, understanding that both offer alternative ways of organizing thought.

To create a network of action with more European schools through the implementation of projects that allow us to innovate and implement new teaching methods.

To extend the achievements reached with this training experience to the rest of the teaching staff of the centres of the consortium and to other centres in the area through courses and working groups that promote internationalisation.

To expand the collaboration with the institutions and educational community surrounding the life of the Consortium.

The Consortium includes a total of 11 participants, all of them with a scientific profile, members of the Association of

Science Teachers of El Bierzo (ENCIBI), committed to the dissemination of science in the region.

It is expected that the impact derived from this activity will be wide and with a transversal effect since, as it is a consortium, the dissemination will be immediate and the radius of action will be very wide.

At a local level, the impact will mean an improvement in the Classroom Programming of the participating educational centres. In addition, a greater participation in European programmes and internationalisation of the centres will be achieved by promoting the creation of their own Internationalisation Plans. The CFIE of Ponferrada responds to 80 schools in two regions (Laciana and El Bierzo), facilitating the dissemination of activities among all these schools.

On a regional level, the impact is linked to the dissemination of the activities and their results, as they are carried out.

The dissemination through social networks and the publication of materials through the CROL platform (Online Resource Centre of the Castilla y León Regional Government) will be the ways for the impact to reach the regional level. The special diffusion and impact that these activities will have should be highlighted through the ENCIBI association. There will also be cooperation with other CFIEs in Castilla y León, sharing the approaches of the Consortium developed and its results. The fulfillment of these objectives is guaranteed by the great professional activity that precedes all the members of the consortium (bilingualism coordinators, National Education Award 2016, Teacher Action Award 2018, trainers of trainers, management positions...)

The dissemination of the activities and their results will also reach the national level since the use of social networks and the use of the CROL platform (Online Resource Centre of the Castilla y León Regional Government) guarantee this impact. In turn, the ENCIBI website will serve to disseminate all the initiatives and actions that are developed.
